Cooperatives as a future force for Austria's economy.
The motto of this year's ÖGV association conference was "Austria as a business location - SMEs as a success factor" and it was held at Studio 44 in Vienna.
At the 2019 Association Meeting of the Austrian Cooperative Association, the Executive Chairman of the Executive Board of EZ AGRAR e.Gen., DI Mag. Karl Lugmayr, re-elected as ÖGV Association Council. By being re-elected, the Ware Group retains a strong voice in the Austrian Cooperative Union. In addition, Finance Minister Hartwig Löger was present at the Association Day and made it clear in his speech that the cooperative as a legal form is highly modern: "Ultimately, the basic principle of cooperative platforms is also behind the business models of the new start-ups. But established cooperatives have an advantage because they already have active client relationships." At the end, the speakers took part in a discussion with representatives from cooperative business practice. Equal opportunities in the competition with large corporations and the reduction of bureaucratic hurdles were demanded, and the lack of skilled workers was also a burning issue.
